Lindsay Hocutt Obituary

Lindsay Raye (Miller) Hocutt

July 3, 1977 – May 18th, 2025

Lindsay Raye Miller, born on July 3, 1977, in Flint, Michigan, to Linda and Rodney Miller, passed away tragically from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. She was 47 years old. Lindsay was a loving daughter, mother, partner to her significant other Jason Moore, cousin, niece, coworker, and friend to many

Lindsay was a woman of extraordinary heart—gentle, strong, and fiercely devoted to the ones she loved. She faced many challenges throughout her life with resilience and quiet bravery, always carrying herself with grace. Through it all, she remained a constant source of warmth, comfort, and unconditional love to those around her.

Above all else, Lindsay was the sweetest and most devoted mother. Her daughters, Shelby-Rae Brooks (22) and Avery Hocutt (14), were the center of her world. She raised them with unwavering love, strength, and compassion—qualities she instilled in them every single day. Her love for them was her guiding light, and it will continue to shine through them for the rest of their lives. “Her girls,” as she affectionately called them, were her sunrise and her sunset.

Lindsay was a beautiful woman who had a heart of gold and a personality that could light up any room. Her smile was contagious, and her presence brought joy and comfort to everyone she met. She was always ready to have a fun time, socialize with friends or go out with her family on their boat at the beach.

She is survived by her daughters, Shelby-Rae Brooks and Avery Hocutt; her loving parents, Linda Kaye Trier Miller and Rodney Raymond Miller; her grandmother, Kathleen “Kay” Miller; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Lindsay’s passing is a heartbreaking loss, but her spirit and light will endure—in every act of kindness, in every moment of quiet strength, and in every life she touched. She lived with love and leaves behind a legacy of it.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Invitations will be shared once details are finalized.
