It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Joe Lewis, age 89, of Spring Lake, NC, who departed this life on Sunday, September 7, 2025. Born January 2, 1936, he was a devoted Christian, proud U.S. Army veteran, loving father, cherished grandfather and great-grandfather, and beloved husband of 68 years.
Mr. Lewis will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his dedication to family, and his many years of honorable service to his country. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking, and he found joy in sharing those passions with his loved ones. His gentle spirit, wisdom, and devotion left a lasting legacy that will be treasured by all who knew him.
Services
Visitation will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Country Club Church of Christ. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 12:00 Noon at Country Club Church of Christ.
