In Loving Memory
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?”
John 14:1-2
A Tribute to the Life of Devin Devonne Guary
Devin Devonne Guary graced this world on July 2, 1992, a testament of the love between Dawn Tellis and Demetrious Guary at Womack Army Medical Center on the sacred grounds of Fort Bragg, NC. Devin's journey took him through the corridors of Overhills High School in Spring Lake, NC, where he flourished, graduating in 2010.
In the pursuit of purpose, Devin made the noble decision to dedicate himself to the service of his country. His path led him to the ranks of the United States Army, stationed proudly at both Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and Vicenza, Italy.
During the symphony of his life, the sweet notes of love found their way to Devin. It was in the halls of high school that he crossed paths with his eternal partner, Taylor. The hands of destiny united them in marriage on February 16, 2019, and their love story was blessed with the birth of a cherished daughter. United in faith, Devin and Taylor attended Country Club Drive Church of Christ in Fayetteville, NC.
In the tranquil hours of August 14th, guided by a gentle call from above, Devin embarked on his celestial journey homeward. Left to enshrine his memory are his beloved wife, Taylor Geter Guary; their precious daughter, Lori Alease Guary; his nurturing mother, Dawn Tellis of Fayetteville, NC; devoted father, Demetrious Guary of Eclectic, AL; revered grandfather, Don Guary of Eclectic, AL; adored sister, Ashley Brashears, and Hunter of Fayetteville, NC. Also mourning his departure are two aunts: Tundra Martin (Patrick) of Wetumpka, AL, and Tara Brown of Eclectic, AL; as well as three cherished cousins: Brandi Guary of Wetumpka, AL, Courtney Guary of Los Angeles, CA, and Elissa Brown of Tuscaloosa, AL.
Remembering him fondly are also his father and mother-in-love, Charles and Tracia Geter of Spring Lake, NC. His journey of love was further graced by the presence of two brothers-in-love, Charles “Tai” Geter of Maryland and Trace Geter of Spring Lake, NC. Devin's tapestry of life was woven with countless threads of family and friends, all of whom now hold his memory as a cherished treasure.
He walks alongside the stars now, joining his beloved grandmother, Bonnie Guary, affectionately known as MoMo, who awaited him in the embrace of eternity.
Devin Devonne Guary's legacy will forever shine as a beacon of love, dedication, and unwavering faith. His memory lives on in the hearts of those who were privileged to know him, reminding us to find solace in the promise of a reunion beyond the horizon.
