With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Darcas Melvin Woods, who transitioned from this life on February 8, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on July 31, 1933, she was a woman of unwavering faith in God, love, and kindness—always sharing wisdom, grace, and encouragement with those around her.

A true Carolina girl at heart, Darcas had a deep love for Carolina Blue, a color as bright and bold as her spirit. Her faith guided her every step, and she lived a life devoted to God, family, and community.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and faith, cherished by her family and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.

Services are incomplete and will be announced by Patterson Memorial Funeral Home.

In honor of her love for Carolina Blue, we encourage all who loved her to wear a touch of blue as we celebrate her life and legacy.
