Cora Lee (Patterson) Cox

Cora Lee Patterson Cox was born March 24, 1944 to the late Mr. Evander and Lillie Mae Patterson in Cumberland County, NC.  She graduated from Shawtown High School and was a long time member and faithful musician at Moore Union Free Will Baptist Church.  She was called home to be with our Lord on June 18, 2020 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

Cora Cox was married to the late George Cox who preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her son, Richard Cox; sisters Mary Patterson, Rev. Clara Swann, Mother Helen Lee and Mrs. Audrey Cain; brothers James Patterson, Vander Patterson, Eugene Patterson, Leroy Patterson, Lenon Patterson, Woodrow Patterson, Hubert Patterson and Claude Patterson.

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Caroline Cox and Sybil Patterson; two grandsons, Christopher Cox, Derrick Cox; her beloved brother, Mr. Jesse Patterson and a host of nieces, nephews and friends including her best friend since elementary school, Ms. Bessie Marsh Terrell.
