John Henry Scott was born on August 28, 1943, in Harrison Woodland, Texas, to the late John Henry Scott and Beatrice Scott. From a young age, John was always curious about the world around him and bold enough to seek out answers to his questions. This drive for knowledge and experience led him to join various clubs, and ultimately, he chose to serve his country by joining the United States Air Force.
In 1964, during his service in the Air Force, John was stationed in Panama where he met the love of his life, Casilda Casey. Their connection was instant, and they decided to unite in marriage, building a beautiful life together. Their union was blessed with children, beginning with Paula John and Davena.
John was not only a devoted husband and father but also a dedicated friend and serviceman. He was deeply committed to his country and all those he swore to protect. His service extended beyond the military; he was also a respected Councilman, a man of faith, and an active member of his community.
John was a faithful Christian and a longstanding member of the Church of Christ, where he remained dedicated until his health began to decline. Throughout his life, he was known for his love of communication, transportation, and travel. He was also an avid sportsman, embodying the spirit of an all-around Texan.
John Henry Scott touched the lives of many, both in and out of service. He leaves behind a legacy of love, commitment, and service to others, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
