Annie Barnes

The Obituary

​Annie M. Barnes was born in Bladenboro, North Carolina to the late Bessie Lewis and John Hester.  She was married to the late James Barnes. After learning more about the bible, she was later added to the body of Christ and the Church of Christ in Lumberton, NC; she was an active member until her health declined.

​Annie will be missed by her nine (9) children: Iris Blount(Russell), James E. Barnes Jr.- deceased (Charnette), Gregory Barnes-deceased (Robin), Brenda F. Barnes (Jitta), John D. Barnes Sr. (Sharon), Milton Barnes, Lisa Barnes, Eric Barnes (deceased) and Andre’ Barnes (Carmella); her brothers, Michael Owens and Billy McCallum; her sisters, Michelle Downing, Darlene Owens (deceased), Sheila McCallum, Cassandra Wilkerson and Esther Covington; her twenty-one (21) grandchildren; her god-daugher Nakeliah Moten; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and the South Lumberton Church of Christ family and friends.
