Ms. Gretchen Kelly

God in his grace, mercy and infinite wisdom, called from this life to eternal rest, Gretchen Kelly. She was born August 11, 1963 to the late Ms. Lillian P. Kelly, of Fayetteville, North Carolina. She transitioned from this life to eternal life on Wednesday January 4, 2017 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Gretchen was educated in the Cumberland County School System and Fayetteville Technical Community College. She enjoyed basketball, track, and softball. She began her working career at Ft. Bragg Dining Facilities until her health began to fail. 

Gretchen was instrumental in helping her son Darrick with grandchildren Dakiyah and Kiniyah. Many memories were created and will be forever embedded in their hearts. She took great pride in making sure they looked nice. 

Left to cherish Gretchen’s memories are: her son, Darrick "Peanut" Kelly of Fayetteville, NC, granddaughters: Dakiyah and Kiniyah of Fayetteville, NC; one sister: Debra Kelly of Pontiac, Michigan; Six aunts: Reva Pears, Eva McDonald, Joyce Glover (Woodrow), Shirley Mills, Emma Belin (Tony), all of Eastover, NC, and Annette Thomas, of Woodbridge, VA; Two uncles: Charles Kelly (Robin) and Rufus Kelly (Olivia) both of Fayetteville, NC; a host of cousins, extended family, friends and neighbors.
