Mr. Thomas Crawford was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on October 14th, 1945, to Ms. Eunice Crawford.
During his formative years, he attended the public schools and in the New Jersey School System. Thomas acquired a talent and a gift for culinary arts and he became a well-known cook. As a result of his gift, he enrolled in chef school and learned how to cook many exquisite dishes that represented cultures from all over the world. Because of his unique cooking skills, Thomas was able to attract jobs in many exclusive restaurants in New York and New Jersey.
One of the most memorable and prestigious restaurants known as Windows of the World, where he served as head chef. Thomas also loved to cook for his family and entertain friends, who also enjoyed being introduced to the new dishes he had learned to perfect. Thomas learned to enjoy many hobbies but his favorite sports were fishing and the energies he dedicated to ‘working-out’ in the gymnasium. In fact, when Thomas went fishing, quite often said, “ I’d go fishing every day, if I could.”
In addition, Thomas enjoyed a special skill which involved his artistic ability with wood artistry and carpentry. During these moments, He often made his children furniture, coffee tables, and even Rocking-Chairs. Thomas loved people, and for that reason he really enjoyed his job at Meals on Wheels which allowed him to deliver food, kind words, and many smiles to those he served.
To honor his legacy and memory, Thomas is survived by his children: Dion Denise Jackson, Neil, Thomas, Mansa, and DeAnna Crawford; his siblings David, Nelson and Betty Jean Crawford; his former wife, Josephine Crawford; and finally, Thomas also leaves an extended family of numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends of whom he loved quite intimately.
