On Monday, August 2, 2021, God in His infinite wisdom called his son home
Charles Melvin Felix (also known as Melvin, Baby-Cakes, Mr. Felix, Charlie, Uncle Melvin, Daddy, Grand-daddy, and Grandpa) was born on April 18, 1931, on the beautiful island of Christiansted, St. Croix in the United State Virgin Island. He was born to the late Florence Elisa Ford Blyden and Samuel Felix. Granny, realizing that the economic situation didn't lend itself to her advancement, so she gathered her boys Charles whom she called Melvin and his older brothers Rudolph and Bod both (decease), and moved to the beautiful sister island of St. Thomas, in 1944. Charles always had a free- spirited personality growing up. Charles and two other young guys got on a boat as stowaway and the next thing grandma knew she got a call telling her he had enlisted in the United State Army, where he severed from1951 to 1954. On his returning home, Charles following in his mother's footstep, he became a young entrepreneur cooking and selling finger-liking spareribs and barbeque chicken, giving him the name Bady-Cakes. Charles also worked as a Taxi Driver and then entered into the Police Force as a Correctional officer.
He was a devoted husband and father to his children. Later in life devoting his life to Christ, living a fulfilling life although he was met with many crossroads.
Charles is reunited in death with his mother Florence Blyden. Charles leaves to cherish his memories, his brothers Antonio Bryan , Warren Frett and Wife Dorothy Felix, Children David A. Felix , Faye, Coral ,Eva, Melvin Jr., Delores, Despi, Dariel, Darien, Deborah and Slyvia Felix. Also, Aubrey, Steveroy Bridges and Eustance. He leaves a special nephew Warren Jr. along with grandchildren and great grand too numerous to mention, amongst a host of family and friends.
