On Monday, September 23, 2019, William "Bill" McNatt answered the call of the Almighty and entered into eternal rest at Fayetteville Veteran's Administration Medical Center, here in Fayetteville, NC.  William was lovingly known as "Bill" and was born to the late Minnie Gilmore McNatt and Bennie McNatt on June 23, 1923.  He was the eldest child of this union.
William married Catherine Wells and this union bred a blessed family of seven children.
Bill accepted Christ and joined Lock's Creek A.M.E. Zion Church after retiring and relocating his family back to his roots her in Fayetteville, NC from Newark, NJ  Bill's life was full of committed loyalty to his family, friends and country.  He was a "highly recognized" World War II Veteran and very proud to have served his country.  He maintained a healthy productive life of farming and venturing into several entrepreneurial endeavors until his health began to decline.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Minnie and Bennie McNatt; his wife, Catherine Wells McNatt; one brother, Paul McNatt and five sisters, Martha Viola Samuels, Annie McNatt, Ruby Patterson, Winnie Lewis and Annie Rhone; one daughter, Pearl and two sons, William L.Wells  and Michael D. McNatt. 

He leaves to cherish his memory; Frank McKoy, Jr. (Janice); Wanda Rouse; Cathy Diane McNatt, Vincent D. McNatt (Sharon) and Anthony D. McNatt all of Fayetteville, NC; three brothers, Roy Lee McNatt of Charlotte, NC, Bennie McNatt (Dorothy) and Robert McNatt of Fayetteville, NC; two sisters, Christine Pounds and Iola Kelly of Fayetteville, NC; twenty one grandchildren; thirty five great grandchildren; and countless other relatives including very loving nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends
 

 

Services will be on Saturday September 28, 2019 at Locks 
Creek AME Zion Church 
407 Locks Creek Church Road Fayetteville NC at 1:00p.m.

Visitation will be on Friday September 27,2019 at Patterson Memorial Funeral Home from 1-7p.m.
