Ms. Taressa Monique Wright was born on December 25, 1981. She was the daughter of Weldon Alford and the late Francis Wright. She departed this life on Tuesday October 29, 2019 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Taressa grew up and attended school in Lumberton, North Carolina. Where she graduated from Lumberton Senior High School in May 2000; furthering her education at Robeson Technical Community College.
She had a fond love and respect for her family and friends all around. She was always eager to help and create an environment of joy and laughter. She mostly enjoyed sharing and embracing good times with friends and family. However, good times weren’t always present she was always there for anyone that needed a helping hand, sound advice and/or a firm shoulder to lean on. If the word greatness had a smile; she had it. She had a smile that could warm the coldest of hearts and a beautiful regal soul that matched that smile.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Her Father Weldon Alford Jr. of St. Pauls, North Carolina; Her Step-Father Clifton “Rabbit” Pone of Lumberton, North Carolina; two brothers, Weldon “Ron” Leonard, of Osan Air-base South Korea, Weldon Alford III, of Orlando, Florida; one sister Nykieal “Nikki” Alford of the home; a very special aunt, Glennie Wright of St Pauls, North Carolina and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, one niece, other relatives, and many great friends.
Services will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Mt Zion Church in St. Pauls, NC. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to service.
