Lela B. Hollingsworth

Ms. Lela B. Hollingsworth, 86 of Firethorn Drive. Fayetteville transitioned into eternal rest on March 30, 2017 at her residence. 

The funeral service will be held at  11am, April 7, 2017 at United Pentecostal Church in Springlake NC. with Bishop Jeff Chavis officiating.

Burial will be at Cumberland Memorial Gardens, Fayetteville, NC 

Lela Bernice Hickmon Hollingsworth was born February 15, 1931 in Union, Mississippi to the late Henry James and Lettie B. (Evans) Hickmon.
Lela was a loving wife and mother. She loved her family and by her family she was always joyful and she loved to tell stories of her family members. Lela was a hard working Lady, her passion was nursing. Lela loved to iron, clean, and take care of people.
In 2006 at Northwest United Pentecostal Church in Fayetteville, NC, Lela was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and received the gift of the Holy Ghost soon thereafter.
 Lela was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Hollingsworth, her parents, and two brothers, Alexander and Franklin. Lela was the third oldest of eight children. She was preceded in death by three children, twins Paulette and Pauline and Danelle Dukes.
Lela departed this life on Thursday March 30, 2017 at her home. She leaves to cherish her memories to her daughter Eula (Rick) Blizzard of Philadelphia, PA and Morris Dukes, Harrisburg; PA, twelve grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; three brothers, Eddie James Hickmon of Union, MS, Harry Hickmon, Meriden, MS, Harvey (Evanelle) Hickmon of Union, MS; three sisters, Candice (Larry) of Decatur, MS, Stephanie Hickmon of Union, MS, and Beverly (Emmitt) Hart of Union, MS. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
